End Stigma

A new project has been launched to bring awareness to the stigma attached to mental health issues with a focus on men. The words below are taken directly from the Bring Change 2 Mind website. www.bringchange2mind.org

” Bring Change 2 Mind, in partnership with Brandon Marshall’s Project 375, launched #StrongerThanStigma to raise awareness around the unique challenges that men face when discussing mental health, to encourage open dialogue, and to promote help seeking behavior.”

I was impressed and pleased to read and view the numerous videos that Project 375 have of these inspiring men. The men are renowned athletes, actors, comediennes and more,
who happen to either have a mental health diagnosis or are empathic advocates wishing to share their stories to encourage men to start the conversation and END STIGMA.

A noteworthy statement in their blog is that “One in four adults experiences a mental illness in a given year. Yet, nearly two-thirds do not seek treatment. Especially men. And, stigma is often to blame. It’s time to talk about mental health.”
